Word Press GURU- WordPress introduction

Have you ever wished it was easy to set up a perfectly optimized blog?
That with just a few clicks, you could have your blog ranked in the search
engines, without spending days working on improving your search results?

If you don't have the money to hire an SEO consultant, and don't really want to
spend days, weeks, or even months working to get your site ranked highly in
the search engines, than this is the report for you. I've gathered some of the
most exclusive WordPress tweaks, tips, and plugins in this easy to read report.

When you've finished reading, you'll know how to optimize your blog for SEO,
how to choose the perfect WordPress theme (it's not just about appearance),
how to use the right plugins to get your site ranked highly in the search
engines, and how to tweak your WordPress based sites so that they run like a
dream, pull in traffic like mad, and rank highly for the search terms you've
chosen.

WordPress really is one of the most effective pieces of software available for
web design. Many people use blogger.com as their choice of blogging platform.
This is done mainly because it is free and can be done in a few seconds. This is
OK to a certain extent but the problem is that you are putting all your hard
work into someone else's hands. Blogger can shut your blog down in an
instant, without even giving a reason.

This means all your hard work is gone for good and we don't want that now do
we! So the choice for a more permanent solution, which puts everything in
your OWN hands, is to use WordPress.org

Again this is free and can be setup in just a few minutes. The only thing you
require is a hosting account. These can be purchased for less than $10 per
month and you can have unlimited domains/blogs on them.
So they are well worth the money. I highly recommend www.HostGator.com

By using WordPress.org, you are also given instant access to plugins and tools
that aren't available in Blogger.com. These tools can make your blog more
favorable to the search engines, as well as more unique to your visitors. We'll
go through these plugins later in this guide.

But one thing to bear in mind is always keeping everything under your own
control and WordPress.org is the number 1 way to do this.

If you want to build sites quickly, there's no better way to do so. However, you
have to know how to play the game how to make the software work for you.
Installing WordPress, putting up a few PLR articles, and sitting back isn't going
to make you any money. Instead, you need to learn how to turn your
Wordpress blog into a profit pulling SEO optimized machine.

Luckily, you've come to the right place. Read on to learn the WordPress tips
and tricks that the gurus don't want you to know.

CPANEL GUIDE: Domains, Subdomains, Cpanel, WHM and Wordpress. HOW TO

Hi Folks, This is my step by step guide to set up domains, subdomains and install Wordpress using the services provided by any good hosting company.

Our goal is to have your account setup quickly and easily so that you can start using the full potential of Cpanel.

STEP 1: Setup your Web site Having a Web site implies having a domain name. What is a Domain? A domain is YOUR address on the internet. This is a Unique name that belongs only to you. It is as unique as is your home address, phone number, or Social Security number. No one else has this Domain name, except you. Your domain is where you live on the internet, so to speak. All your webpages, with associated graphics and documents are placed on your domain so people can visit YOUR website. If you do not have your own domain, it is imperative that you get one.

The best way to be successful on the Net is to have your own site for people to visit. Not only will people visit your offers with the use of our tools, but they also get a chance to "stumble" on to it via search engines and link sites. This guide is to start from nothing (if you already own a domain name please read a step ...

1.1: Register your own domain name: http://www.godaddy.com/

Register your own domain name and host it. Once you click on the bellow link, choose a domain name, create your register account and purchase that perfect name! You have a lot of companies to register your domain name. you can google "REGISTER DOMAIN NAMES" and select the company you want. You will register your domain like YOURSITE.COM (.net, .org, .ws, etc).

You can check the video and follow all the instructions using Go Daddy...

Go Daddy is a great Choice. >Go ahead and Pick up your Name. Its fast, easy and Cheap!. If you want other option to register your Domain name just google it.

1.2: Activate your hosting account Now you own a domain name. Next step: Access your Web Host Manager (WHM) now and create your hosting account!

Check this video to Know how to create your Hosting Account in WHM

Now you can use your Cpanel. A control panel for your domain. If your registered domain name is for example "ilovemysite.com" your Cpanel address will be http://ilovemysite.com/cpanel. Sign in at your cpanel and you will see all available tools.

Preferences: Start here and follow the Getting started wizard to set your main options.

Mail: Set up your email accounts and use these great webmail clients and tools. if you use all these tools, your email will be more effective and powerful.

Files: The cPanel "Disk Usage Viewer" provides a quick way to see the amount of disk space being used by folders. It will not show you individual files located in the folders. If you wish to view the individual files located in these folders where you can delete them you will need to use the file manager. Also you can set up your ftp accounts that you use to access your FTP from your FTP client that you must download and install. One great and free client is FileZilla. If you haven't installed Filezilla, you can download at http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/

.

Logs: see the bandwidth usage for your site, Webalizer is a complex stats program that produces a variety of charts and graphs about who has visited your site, Analog produces a simple summary of all the people who have visited your site. It is fast and provides great lightweight statistics, Awstats produces visual statistics about visitors of your site. You can use all tools included.

Security: Manage the secuity settings

Domains: Show and set all your domains and subdomains. You can use unlimited subdomains names for your domain. Example: Your domain name is ilovemysite.com and you can add subdomains like sales.ilovemysite.com, blog.ilovemysite.com, etc. Another cool function is to redirect your new domain or subdomain to another site. Redirects allow you to make a specific web page redirect to another page and display the contents of that page. This way you can make a page with a long URL accessible by a page which has a shorter and easier to remember URL. Try it!

Databases, soft and Services : This is for advanced users. There will be a new post about it. Is not mandatory set these options.

Lets talk about Fantastico. Use Fantastico to automatically install any of the scripts on your domain or subdomain. For example, the blog your are reading now was installed on one of my subdomains through Fantastico de luxe automatically. Installing any script will use one of your available MySQL databases. Removing any script will free up one of your used MySQL databases. "Fantastico De Luxe" scripts-. You can select any script and will be installed automatically ready for use!

Classifieds Content Management Customer Relationship Discussion Boards E-Commerce F.A.Q. Hosting Billing Image Galleries Mailing Lists Polls and Surveys Project Management Site Builders Wiki Other Scripts Extras

Get Full Cpanel Documentation at

http://twiki.cpanel.net/twiki/bin/view/AllDocumentation/WebHome?build=11.24.5-RELEASE_38506&basetheme=x3&theme=x3

Step 3: How to install wordpress in your Subdomain just with a few clicks.

Create a subdomain: Access your Web Host Manager (WHM) and click "Modify an Account"

Select the domain name to use for your subdomain and click "modify"

Modify the number of Max SubDomains. I change this number every time I need a new one.

Just click save and your domain is Ready. Go to your CPANEL: Remember, If your registered domain name is for example "ilovemysite.com" your Cpanel address will be http://ilovemysite.com/cpanel. Click subdomains.

Enter your Subdomain name and select your main domain. Your root folders will be created automatically so, click "Create".

Now we are ready to upload WordPress via Fantastico. Click "Fantastico Deluxe" at your main Cpanel Page.

Select Wordpress Script and "New Installation"

At this screen you must enter your data. Domain name, Admin name, pass, nickname, mail, site and description. Click "Install WordPress" If every step is right, you will get a message like this:

"Install WordPress (2/3) The MySQL database and MySQL user YOURUSERNAME_wrdp1 will be created and used for this installation.- You chose to install in the main directory of the domain yoursubdomain.yourmaindomain.com - The access URL will be: http://yoursubdomain.yourmaindoamin.com/.Click on Finish installation to continue."

Now, Click "Finish Installation"

CONGRATULATIONS! YOUR WORDPRESS BLOG IS READY AND WORKING!

Now you are ready to blogging using the most Friendly and complete Blog Platform available

See you next post! PS: if you like this post or if you have any question about cpanel, WHM, etc... please post your comments! Silvia Rod.

Want to start blogging, which Wordpress version is right for you?

There are many benefits in using Wordpress as your blogging tool and the first benefit is there are three versions of Wordpress you can choose from. Actually four if you included the Enterprise version but that version is not free. For the majority of us bloggers, the first three versions should be fine to use.

The first of the three versions of Wordpress is the hosted version, meaning your blog is located on a subdomain at the Wordpress website. Having a hosted Wordpress blog is very easy to set up. Once you have signed up for an account at the Wordpress website, your blog can be up and running with several useful wordpress features within minutes. You can choose your username, which will become the subdomain name part of blog address as long as someone else has not taken that username. This version is great for people who are starting out in the blogging word and may want things to be simple while they learn to blog. It's also good if they're not computer savv y and the idea of registering a domain name, fiddling with databases and uploading files is too much for them to handle.

The second version of Wordpress is the self-installed version, meaning you download Wordpress from their website and install it on your own web server under your own domain name. This option is suitable to people who are computer savvy or willing to learn the setup process before they can even write their first blog or article. The great thing about this version is it gives you more flexibility and advantages over the hosted version. For example, you can display Google ads on your blog and get paid by Google if someone click on the ad links whereas on the hosted version, you are not allow to do this. Being more flexible means you can also modify the code to suit your needs. Of course you can still keep your blog as simple as you want to after you have installed it and avoid messing around with the code.

The third version of Wordpress was formally called Wordpress Multi-User or Wordpress MU for short (pronounced em-you). As its name suggests, Wordpress MU is not designed for an individual blogger but is ideal for organisations or groups that want to host a network of blogs on one server under one domain. Released around ore before 2008, Wordpress MU allows you to install one time but setup tens, hundreds and even thousands of blogs on your own domain. With the release of Wordpress 3.0, Wordpress MU was merged and is no longer a separate project. It is now continuing development as part of the main WordPress branch under the name 'multi-site' or MS.

With three different versions of Wordpress for you to choose from, there's something for everyone when it come to the world of blogging. As the saying goes "Variety is the spice of life". Happy Blogging.

What Blog Software Should I Use?

So you want to create a blog but you aren't sure what blogging service will best fit your needs. Welcome to the club! There are a number of great options out there but each service has its own strengths and weaknesses. To help you find the best service we've gathered up all the important data so enjoy the read and hopefully when you're done you'll be better prepared to pick the best service for your needs!

The first thing you need to undestand about blogs is that there are two main types: hosted and self-install. Some of the blogs offer both versions, but basically what this means is with hosted you will simply join a service somewhere and the blog software is ready to go. The second type, self-install is a bit more tricky for the less tech savvy user. You'll need to find a hosting service and then install the software yourself. Either way the real question here is which blog service is going to best fit your needs so let's have a quick overview of the main blog ging software options.

Blogger
Cost: Free

Blogger is a free, hosted service. It is one of the older services and has a lot of users. Getting setup with blogger is pretty fast (about 10 minutes from start to blogging) and the system is pretty simple to use. The real issue with blogger is that its simplicity is also its limit. You won't find many professional bloggers using it though as you are more limited in some aspects such as performance and customization.
Blogware
Cost: ~$8 - $15 a month (varies by reseller)

Blogware differs from most blog services primarily in how you purchase it. You will need to purchase it through a reseller so you'll find that the prices and packages vary from reseller to reseller. Again with Blogware you'll have trouble if you want to make major customization changes to the looks of your blog, but there are a good number of options that let you tinker with the setup without editing the templates themselves.

Expression Engine
Cost: $149 (non-commercial) - $199 (commercial)

Expression Engine is actually more than just a blogging software. It would be better categorized as a content management system. Unlike some services it also includes things such as image galleries, mailing lists, and other useful tools. Again all this power comes at a cost and that cost is ease of use. You'll be able to do most anything you want but how to get it done will always be the big question.

Movable Type
Cost: Somewhere likely between $69.95 and $199.95

Very powerful, but difficult to both setup and use. One of the strengths of Movable type is that you can set it up to not appear like a blog at all. The feature set is large and you can do most anything you want but each time you update your template you'll have to rebuild your blog. If you really want to do some interesting customization this may be the blog service for you, but the faint of heart need not apply due to the technical skills required to accomplish the changes.

Typepad
Cost: $4.95 - $14.95 a month (depending on what service you choose)

With Typepad you have three options: Basic, Plus, and Pro. Each option gives you a distinct set of options and naturally the more you pay the better your options will be. Typepad is another very popular service and works well with journalistic bloggers who aren't much interested in messing with the s ites templates. Once again customization is possible but difficult so most users of Typepad simply stick more or less to the defaults and do not worry much about the looks of the blog.

WordPress
Cost: Free

WordPress is both free and poweful. Many professionals use WordPress both due to its many customizable features as well as its ability to handle large traffic loads. Wordpress also supports third-party plugins which offer you many features that other services cannot provide. With WordPress you can both use their free service or add the blogging software to your own host. Some hosts also offer it as an easy one-click install feature.

JB Transport: The Back Story

This is a very exciting time on the pages of the JB Transport blog. It is May and we all know what that means it means history! May has officially been declared history month here on the JB Transport blog. A couple of weeks ago we dipped into the deep and cool pools of history with our brief overview of the trucking industry and the progression and evolution of technology and policy that has impacted flatbed trucking companies and freight transportation across the ages, ok, maybe just throughout the century. This century has seen incredible change in the industry that sprung from a simple need, to transport goods and freight from place to place. Whether the goods be raw materials or finished products, there has been a need for freight transportation for as long as people have been in the business of being people, trading with other communities, nations, or people. The earliest freight transportation definitely looked nothing like what we understand freight transportation t o be today. There were certainly no motors, and, if we go back far enough, there were probably not even wheels.
The skeleton of freight transportation, that being the elemental quality that human beings have of transporting materials from place to place, is the quintessential bonding element in every variety of freight transport, from every era and epoch. Regardless of place, time, or class, people have been transporting goods forever. This observation is basic and simple, but it allows a unique perspective on the nature of the freight transportation industry, and really, a lot of other industries as well. Taking this perspective on the trucking industry lets us view it as an ever shifting system with a stable and fixed spine (that spine consisting of an elemental need driving the industry). In this way we can view the entire industry as a process of development and progression. The trucking industry, specifically, is an excellent place to track the changes and develop ments significant to the industry because of its stable core characteristics. Regardless of the trappings, and trimmings, freight transportation has remained consistent throughout time. With that understanding out of the way, we'll look at some of the developments and changes that have impacted the industry over the years on the next JB Transport blog.

There are hundreds of millions of blogs on the internet. You do not have to look far before you see blogs online and more and more people are starting their blogs daily. Blogging to earn is evolving into a career now rather than a hobby.

There are five major ways to earn money blogging:

One is through advertising. If you're already a blogger, in order to make money, you must get advertisements. To get advertisements, you need to get a large amount of regular traffic to your blogs. The more and more eyeballs checkout your blog, the quicker you are to make a decent living online because you will begin to get offers for advertisements from product brands and companies. In majority of cases, the advertisements on the blog will be products and services related to your niche.

The second is through Google adsense. Once you sign up for adsense, advertisements relevant to your blog will be placed on your blogs by Google using their algorithm.

The third is by writing reviews. You can write reviews for products related to your blogs. You can earn more money if you blog about services, products, and famous companies in your niche. There are websites where business owners who want to popularize their brand names will offer you money to reviews their products and brands. Remember to state that you receive commissions in your reviews in line with FTC rules.

When you do reviews, make sure you have tried the products and be frank in your writings. Make sure you blog about the positive and negative sides of the products then make your recommendations by emphasizing the positive. That way people are interested in the product will see your review as fair and this will attract them to the products or services. Host Your Website

A good website is imperative for any successful business to grow. A successful website not only has good content but is easy to navigate as well. In order for a website to be easy to navigate your customers need to be able to get through the site without "traffic jams" where the site freezes or malfunctions. In order to prevent this you must find a company that can host your web. There are many different web hosting packages available where you can pay monthly or yearly for different levels of service.

Internet hosts are firms that provide space on a server they own personally or lease for use by their clients in addition to offering Web connectivity, sometimes in a data center. Internet hosts can also present knowledge middle area and connectivity to the Internet for servers they do not own to be located in their data centers, referred to as collocation.

The scope of hosting services varies widely so you must do your research when looking for a compa ny to host your website. Essentially the most fundamental is web page and small-scale file internet hosting, the place files will be uploaded through File Switch Protocol (FTP) or an Internet interface. The information is often delivered to the Internet "as is" or with little processing. Many Web service providers (ISPs) offer this service free to their subscribers. Folks can even get hold of Internet page hosting from other, various service providers. Personal website online internet hosting is often free, commercial-sponsored, or inexpensive. Business web page internet hosting often has the next expense.

Single page internet hosting is mostly enough only for private internet pages. A posh web site requires an extra complete package deal that provides database support and application growth platforms (e.g. PHP, Java, Ruby on Rails, ColdFusion, and ASP.NET). These facilities enable the customers to put in writing or set up scripts for purposes like forums and cont ent material management. For e-commerce, SSL can also be highly recommended. These packages allow the customers easy access to their websites to update their content or add features.

The host can also present an interface or control panel for managing the Internet server and installing scripts in addition to other companies like e-mail. Some hosts concentrate on certain software or providers (e.g. e-commerce). They're commonly utilized by larger firms to outsource community infrastructure. No matter what size company you have or what kind of website you have finding a good company to host your website is must.

Today’s Tips for Hosting Multiple Websites

Hosting Multiple Websites on One Account

If you are the owner of several websites then hosting multiple domains on a single hosting account is an excellent way of achieving low cost hosting without having to sacrifice quality.

To advance on the internet with more domains and more hosting accounts has been a stumbling block for many because of the expense; hosting being the bigger expenses. But if you plan to operate with more sites in the future then perhaps this article will help you bring your plans forward. The sooner you own more of the internet the sooner your profits will increase.

As you progress your own understanding of the internet you'll come across the need to have more than one website for each project or niche. You may find a need to have explore that niche further and
have a different website for each sub-niche. Rather than sit back and wait for just one website to do the business, you'll need perhaps six other websites that each try and dominate their sub niche to
get traffic. If necessary they can send the traffic to the main website. Understanding this principle will increase you traffic ten-fold.
Many people and I have been guilty of the same thought, set up a different web hosting accounts for each new domain name they purchase. The only real advantage of this is if you plan on having say
60 sites and want to spread them over 6 hosting accounts. Otherwise you'll save huge amounts of your online budget by hosting new domains within your own current hosting account.

Some of the smaller hosting providers can confuse you to believe that each new domain needs a new hosting account. This is not true... and as such you should explore the internet further if I cannot
explain the simplicity within this article.

Many so called bigger 'providers' have realized that to compete in the bigger market place they need to offer good deals. Such deals will include up to hosting 10 domains on one account, to hosting 25
domains on one account; and the more sophisticated businesses are now offering unlimited domains on one account.

It would seem prudent then to pool your resources and instead of having more than one account, use one provider and pay just the one fee. Furthermore you will find that these providers will give you
one free domain for just signing up with them.

It should be pointed out that, like every business, your virtual company will evolve on the web, so you need to be prepared for evolution. You may, for example, upgrade you web site to include a
variety of interactive properties or implement a sophisticated shopping card to drive your ecommerce store, all these amendments and upgrades will steal a little more web space each time. Moreover,
your business will be developing and growing so you will want to reflect this within your virtual company.

I hope this has explained the basics. Should you need either hosting, or hosting for multiple websites, you can achieve this for $7.95 per month. For more information please visit my website:

How To Use Guest Blogging and Q and A Sites To Improve Your Website Traffic

Q & A SitesQ&A sites help people put there question directly in front of a community and get fast feedback if used correctly can unleash a huge flood of targeted traffic what's more since these are people actively looking for answers if your product can answer them you'll have a lot of conversions on your hands! These sites often rank very highly in Google (with many struggling to outrank them!) so you really need to make sure you add them to your traffic arsenal. However like Niche forums there is some etiquette needed you can't simply start firing your link around everywhere you need to provide helpful in-depth answers and then provide your link as an additional reading source or reference to help the asker improve his/her knowledge.

Step 1. - Top Question & Answer Sites:

Yahoo Answers Wiki Answers Askville (Amazon) I recommend you start with Yahoo Answers since has the largest community as well as ranking the strongest in Google. The following is based on Yahoo Answers

Step 2.How To Find Questions To Answer

In order to find open questions click "Advanced search" (next to the search box) enter an appropriate keyword scroll down to "Question status" and select "Open questions" then click submit this ensures onlyopen questionsare shown in the search results.

Step 3.How To Increase Your Chances Of GainingBest Answer

Generally the more helpful and long your answer is the more favourable it will be seen, if you get rated as "Best answer" this massively improves the chances of your link being clicked (since most people see reading afterbestanswer worthless). I've also found I can simply copy and paste info directly from my site as my answer and since it's already in-depth and long it's usually voted as best answer. The following day you should login to Yahoo answers and click "My Activity - My Q&A - My Questions" this will bring a list of the questions you've answered along with their status (once they'rein voting)you can click on them and vote for your answer as the best answer (if you believe it to be). I've often found no one else chooses the best answer so by default yours will be chosen.

Guest Blogging/Reciprocal Linking

This is a win-win situation since the blog owner gets a unique blog post for free and you get to tap into targeted traffic which someone else has spent years building.

Step 1(Optional) Use Mozilla firefox and download SEOmoz plugin

Step 2

Search in Google "Your themes keyword + blog" i.e. Cat food + blog other search queries you can use include: "Your themes keyword + blogs" "Your themes keyword + Wordpress" "Your themes keyword + Blogger" "Your themes keyword + comment" It's important to find a targeted blog, if you can't find one make the niche wider i.e. if your site was about cat food you'd extend it to "cat + blog" and then "pet + blog".

Step 3

If you're using SEOmoz with Firefox tap your search query into the search box (to the right of the address bar) and you're see your results: Beneath each entry is the PR value of each link you should visit (at least) the first three pages of search results opening up the those with the highest PR value (this will benefit our SEO as well as the natural click throughs). If you're not using SEOmoz open up the 5 busiest relevant blogs (those with regular posts and active comments).

Step 4

Now we need to visit the blogs and find a "Contact" or "About me" page there should either be an email address or a contact form (if not simply write a comment on the most recent post) suggest you've been reading the blog and are impressed (perhaps mention a few points you learnt) and add that you've got a blog or website in the same niche and you'd love to:

Write a guest post on their blog In which case suggest the post would be new fresh content written just for their blog (make sure it is!) give the blog owner an idea of the title and at suggest at the bottom there would be a small section explaining to the blog readers who you are and where they can find your website. Or Swap links

To maximise the benefit of this you should try and get a link in either the site owner's sidebar or footer since this will show on multiple pages. Give them the text copy you'd like to have placed as well as a link to your homepage. Suggest if they don't feel comfortable adding the sidebar link they could write a small review of your website/blog and in return you'd do the same (remember you have to give to receive!)

Step 5.Enjoy the traffic!

A guest blog post will bring a sudden rush of targeted traffic whilst a link will more likely improve the SEO value of the placed link.Blog commentingon steroids! Recently blogs have started to include a "top contributors" widget to their sidebar which automatically displays the usernames of those who've written the most comments if your username is your keyword and you've added a link to your name when writing comments you will find you'll now have a link on multiple pages of a high PR blog. The plug-in is called "Top Commentators".
